Esteé Lauder is a globally recognised beauty company with over 15 different brands selling in over 100 countries.
At Esteé Lauder I have (and continue) to work within the Business Operations Team within the UK branch of ELC (Esteé Lauder Companies).
There I work with other technical teams and members to build automated solutions to assist with the process of taking orders from one/many of the 17 UK brands, and ensuring they are sent to the warehouse for processing. This can include but not be exhaustive to;
- Working with XML based SOAP APIs, both consuming and exposing
- Importing data from SFTP locations on routines to ensure orders are picked up by warehouse
- Migrating from legacy file based transfers to modern JSON API solutions to reduce manual input and increase efficiency
- Assisting with and troubleshooting trouble orders
- International names
- Fraud detection solutions
- Assisting and contributing to global process change
- Moving from Pay On Order, to Pay On Dispatch
- Migrating payment gateway for 17 UK brands, many multimillion in sales a day, with 0 downtime
- Recovering, and protecting over £70k of false refund orders that have gone unnoticed for 8 years
- Automation of 3rd party sales to internal warehouse shipping solutions
- Handling thousands of orders daily
- Integration with 3rd party software to detect new orders
- Pushing data updates for sale stage (processing, dispatch, delivered, cancelled) to 3rd party reseller
